A State-of-the-Art Review on Axial Compressive Behavior of Concrete-Filled Steel Tubes Incorporating Steel Fiber and GFRP Jacketing

Several types of fibers have enhanced the structural response reinforced concrete-filled steel tubes (CFSTs). This article presents a state-of-the-art review studies done on axial compressive behavior and glass fiber-reinforced CFSTs. The aim using is to improve research indicates findings experimental programs analytical evaluations effects fiber incorporation results this work demonstrate that (SFs) enough evident improving failure mode load-carrying capacity SFs greatly increase ductility To enhance strength CFSTs, adding by 1% concrete mix more effective than 1.5%. use mixed with expansion agent considerably increases yield ultimate loads More polymer (GFRP) sheets reduce buckling develop implementation GFRP jackets not only enhances but also their ductility. reinforcement techniques for CFSTs are in stiffness energy absorption capacity.
